Sundays
Children’s Ministry
We have children’s ministry, Junior Church, on the 2nd & 4th Sundays, at our 11.00am service. Children join in with the main service at the beginning, then go to the upper rooms for their time of worship and ministry and join the service again for Communion. Which group the children join, depends upon their age:
Trailblazers – for children aged 3 – 5 years
Pioneers – for children aged 6 - 9 years
Youth – for those in Year 5 and above
Some children wish to stay in groups after they have reached an age where they can move on. We find this is largely because they are familiar with the team, children and routine; whilst we encourage them to try their new group they are always welcome back in their old group until they are ready to move up. We aim to follow the lessons and theme of the main service to ensure good conversation and learning can continue within the child’s family after the service. Creche
There is also an unmanned creche available for those not old enough to come upstairs. Serving
We want our children to feel part of the church family and feel able to serve alongside the adults. If your child would like to help with welcome, refreshments, band, readings or anything else, please speak with us. Find out more
If you have any questions about children’s ministry at SPC, please get in touch with us.
