Bell Ringing
Home Adults Groups Bell Ringing
There is a long tradition of bell ringing at St. Peter’s, which is still carried out today
We meet on Friday evenings at 7:30pm for practice and ring for occasional Sunday morning services. We also ring for weddings and other events such as Armistice, Easter Sunday and Harvest. December is very busy when we ring for various services including Christmas morning.

You do not need to be musically minded to ring bells, anyone from about the age of 13 and over can learn, the hardest part of ringing at St Peter's is climbing the 40 steps up the spiral staircase to the ringing chamber!

If you would like to join us for a ring or would like to learn the centuries-old art of bell ringing, just come along, or see Ray Porter, the Bell Tower Captain, or speak to Sarah our vicar.
